Activities and Performances
Music
Music is a fundamental aspect of Kathak. North Indian classical music is Kathak's counterpart, as the rhythmic patterns and vocal and
instrumental support in Kathak is based on classical music. Exposure, therefore, to vocal and instrumental classical music plays an
important role in the Kathak learning process. The Foundation organizes at least one vocal or instrumental concert for the benefit of
its students which would also serve as a major fundraising event. So far, since the inception of the Foundation, the following
programs have been presented by the Anila Sinha Foundation:
June 24th, 2000 Classical Vocal Concert by Padmabhusan Smt. Girija Devi
July 11th, 1999 Classical Vocal Concert by Padmabhusan Smt. Girija Devi
